O.M.G. The new BAND!
The current project is the O.M.G. band. Playing a balance of newer rock music, some classic rock, and some specialty songs from in between. We even do 2-3 country songs. The band consists of Tom Ostrowski on drums, Jeff Bogusz on guitar, and Eddie Soto on guitar. We may add a keyboard if things work out. I'm playing bass. The coolest part of the band is that everybody sings. No pictures as of yet, but you can view a partial songlist.
Lots of Gigs in the summer (June-Aug 2010)
The two Beach Clubs, the "Grill in Concord", and the "Bistro in Euclid" came through with additional summer dates. Total of 7 from June through August. Also, the Old Firehouse Winery in Geneva-on-the-Lake contracted me to do 7 dates through the summer. The entire month of June I will play every Wed night from 8 pm - Midnight. Then there are 2 Sat afternoon gigs from 3 - 7 pm. These are all in addition to the 3 dates at the Lakehouse Inn. Most of the gigs at the Firehouse will be with friends (1 or 2 others joining me). Some at the Beach Club Grill will be with friends as well. Looks like the players will be Len Thomas sometimes, Fred Grupe & Greg Coleman sometimes, & Rick Piunno other times.
The new Guitar (Feb/10/10)
The new guitar is an Eastman AC320CE Dreadnought. I had been planning on making a change since the last Guitar Camp at Swannanoa in July of 2009. But not working much last year forced me to postpone. Had my heart set on a Tanglewood, but went with this Eastman instead. One of the few that are still handmade. Got an immediate on site approval from my friend Bob Hicks who was in town at the time. Not sure what to do with the Washburn right now. Have some sentimental feelings, I guess. But come out to one of the gigs. You'll notice the difference!
